Mylar bag won’t have a “Vacuum-Packed Look” after using oxygen absorbers.

Oxygen absorbers only remove oxygen, which is only about 21% of air; 1/5 of the air volume is absorbed while 4/5 of it remains. Don’t worry, the remaining air has no influence over your food storage. Vacuum-seal with oxygen absorbers will suffice to deliver the best result.

Oxygen absorber packets getting warm indicates they’re working.

Oxygen absorber is made of iron powder, they will generate heat when reacting with O2 in the air, and the heat won’t cause any danger. Just seal the package immediately and tightly when storing, after the Oz inside the package all had been removed, the oxygen absorbers will stop getting warm until exposed to new air.

MATERIAL NEEDED:

1. Dry food that needs preserving

2. Wisedry Long-term Storage Set

3. A small mason jar or small mylar bag or storing the remaining absorbers

4. Heat sealer (household iron, hair straightener, vacuum sealer, impulse sealer, etc.)

5. Marker

Step 1. Fill the mylar bags with dry foods that need preserving. Do not overfill the bag and leave some space for sealing.

Step 2. Open the package and take out an appropriate amount of absorber packets (read the Oxygen Absorber User Guide first and decide how many are needed). Place the leftover ones in a small mason jar and seal the lid tightly or store them in a small mylar bag and vacuum seal them immediately for safekeeping.

Step 3. Put an appropriate number of absorbers into the mylar bag with foods, squeeze the extra air out and seal the bag quickly with a heat sealer prepared in advance.

Step 4. Label the bags with their content and storing date to make sure they can be easily identified.

Don’t missing to label and date your myalr bags before you add product in them. If the mylar bag is sealed, it can be difficult to determine exactly what’s packed inside the bag. Therefore, you can prevent having “mystery bags” in your food storage by labeling them simply.
