This Carbon Fiber foot plate insert is a VERY RIGID plate – Stiff and not flexible. But the insole of the shoe is not designed flat. The edges of the sole bend upwards a bit in most shoes, making the inside of the shoe a bit tighter. Therefore the insole should be bought according to the size of the foot.
