King Baby is the brainchild of our founder, Mitchell Binder. In the 1970’s, when Mitchell was a teenager he moved from Jackson, Mississippi to Los Angeles. It was a time when music reflected a spirit of idealism and new found freedoms. Pioneering artists like Hendrix, Joplin and The Dead ruled the airwaves. As Mitchell puts it “it was the ‘Summer of Love’ and my mind was officially blown.”

Mitchell became a jeweler’s apprentice at 15, and shortly thereafter began designing on his own. With his charismatic personality and bold style, he soon became the ‘go to jeweler’ for Hollywood celebrities looking to set themselves apart from the crowd.
Officially launching King Baby in 2000, Mitchell has continued to raise the bar when it comes to design and hand-crafted quality. Each piece in the King Baby collection is designed to capture the spirit of America with sex appeal and a rock ‘n’ roll vibe.
